While preparing the Ph.D. thesis, Dr. Joshi
minutely referred to the Nyayabhushana MS # 10717 Shri Hemachandacharya Jaina Jnanamandira PATAN (Gujarat). On the basis of the MS Dr. Joshi has suggested
some appropriate readings of the Nyayabhushana in his thesis.
While guiding his Ph.D. students, Mr. Niranjan
Patel, Prof. Joshi personally helped his student in the library in deciphering the Photostat of the Nyayabhushana (Anumana
Prichchheda), L. D. Institute of Indology, Ahmedabad (Photostat # 34766).
Over and above, Dr. Joshi had in his Department
of Sanskrit about 100 photocopies of the MSS obtained from L. D. Institute of Indology, Ahmedabad, and Oriental Institute,
Vadodara. Dr. Joshi intended to bring out some of these manuscripts by inspiring his M.Phil and Ph.D. students to base their
research on these MSS.
